Szechtman Lab Collection - RAWDATA Objects: Path Plots
Item Set
Title
Szechtman Lab Collection - RAWDATA Objects: Path Plots
Description
This item set contains one of the four types of RAWDATA objects in the FRDR repository. This type of RAWDATA object is called "PathPlot" and is a file that contains an image of the paths of locomotion during a 55 min long trial in the open field. Paths of locomotion were constructed from the x,y coordinates of the rat's body, as extracted by EthoVision software from the video record of the trial at a rate of 30 fps. File has the extension "gif" but it is NOT an animated gif file. Path plot file names end with "_PathPlot". Path plot file names are 37 characters long and are named according to a fixed format. Specifically, using the path plot file name "Q48QRNA001_01_4_0139_0019651_PathPlot.gif" as an example,
Column 1-7 are IDStudy (here, Q48) and IDStudyLabel (here, QRNA)
Column 8-10 is RatNumber in the study (here, 001), formatted as a 3 characters string
Together, IDStudy+IDStudyLabel+RatNumber in Column 1-10 is RatUniqueID (here, Q48QRNA001), a unique ID for every individual rat tested
Column 11 is the underscore character (_) to mark the separation from the next code
Column 12-13 is InjectionNumber (here, 01) and this value indicates that it was injection number 1 (number format is 2 characters string)
Column 14 is the underscore character (_) to mark the separation from the next code
Column 15 is Dose, coded as a 1 character string (here, 4 is 0.25 mg/kg)
Column 16 is the underscore character (_) to mark the separation from the next code
Column 17-20 is TrackFileNameNumberInEthovision (here, 0139) and is a 4 character number assigned in EthoVision work file to the track (.trk) record of the trial
Column 21 is the underscore character (_) to mark the separation from the next code
Column 22-28 is ID7String (here, 0019651), a unique 7 characters ID number assigned to each trial
The ending of the file name is "_PathPlot" and it indicates that the file is a plot of the routes of locomotion in the 55 min long trial.
