Lucy's World Through the Eyes of Others: Family Photographs
The lives of Lucy and her sisters were well documented by others in photographs. Lucy’s archive contains many formal headshots taken of the girls at school, as well as several formal and casual family photographs.

This photograph depicts Susan Russell, likely with either Sarah Russell as a newborn (born ca. 1946) or Lucy (born 1948). At this time, the family would have been living in a flat in Cambrian Road in London.

This photograph depicts Susan and John Russell early in their marriage, likely with one of their children, possibly an infant Sarah.

This photograph, likely taken by Edith Russell, is an informal photograph of Bertrand Russell and his three granddaughters at home. Anne is left, Sarah is in centre, and Lucy to the right.
