Beowulf Illustrated

For my project, I attempted (emphasis on attempted) to create a page inspired by illuminated medieval manuscripts. In the medieval period, manuscripts were very costly and time-consuming to produce, so much so that it was really only the church and the wealthy who produced them. I only tried to mimic the visual style of illuminated manuscripts: the illustration of a scene from the text and the surrounding ornamentation. The text is the opening lines of Beowulf written out in modern English and in old Anglo-Saxon.
